Full-Time School Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) ($35-40 hr)

Position Type: Full-Time, 2024-2025 School Year

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. As a School SLPA, you will work closely with our speech-language pathologists to provide support and assistance in the assessment and treatment of students with communication disorders. This is a full-time position with hours that vary based on the school schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with speech-language pathologists to implement therapy plans and activities.
• Provide one-on-one or small group therapy sessions to students as directed by the supervising SLP.
• Assist in the collection and documentation of student progress data.
• Support students in developing communication skills through structured activities and exercises.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to promote communication development in the classroom and at home.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant or related field.
• Valid California SLPA license.
• Experience working with children in an educational setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
