Virtual School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Florida

Location: Florida (Remote)
Employment Type: Full-Time/Part-Time Contract
Pay: $42/Hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' speech and language needs.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's specific needs and goals.
• Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students via teletherapy platforms.
• Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' communication needs in the virtual learning environment.
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise and recommendations for student services.
• Stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology and teletherapy.
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Offer professional development and training to school staff and parents as needed.
• Utilize technology effectively to engage students and enhance therapy outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Current Florida state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
• Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with teletherapy platforms and technology.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively in a virtual environment.
• Strong commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
