A school in the Victorville, CA area is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for the upcoming academic year. The SLP will assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders, develop personalized treatment plans, and educate and train families and caregivers. The director is ready to review applications and conduct interviews promptly.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and diagnoses of speech, language, and communication disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address each patients unique needs.
• Educate patients and their families about speech disorders, their causes, and effective management techniques.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
• Provide direct therapy to students in individual or group settings.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient conditions, treatment plans, therapy sessions, and progress.
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for student support.
• Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in speech-language pathology.
• Supervise and provide guidance to speech therapy assistants as needed.
• Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in the field.

Experience:

• Previous experience in a speech-language pathology setting.
• Experience working in a school setting as an SLP is preferred.

Education:

• Must have a masters degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• Full accreditation (CCC) is preferred.
• Must be in at least the Clinical Fellowship Year.
