Blazer Jobs is currently seeking experienced School Psychologists for full-time positions within school districts in Oneida, Tennessee. We specialize in providing staffing solutions to support the diverse needs of students in educational settings.
Requirements:
Applicants must meet all local and state requirements to apply. This may include:
- Holding a valid license or certification as a School Psychologist in Tennessee.
- Possessing a master's degree or higher in School Psychology or a related field.
- Demonstrating knowledge of federal and state regulations related to special education and psychological services.
- Having experience conducting psychological evaluations and assessments of students' cognitive, academic, social, emotional, and behavioral functioning.
- Passing a background check and any additional screenings required by the district.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments to identify students' strengths, weaknesses, and needs in various areas of functioning.
- Administer and interpret standardized tests and assessment tools to assess students' cognitive abilities, academic achievement, social skills, emotional functioning, and behavior.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to develop and implement interventions and support strategies to address students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students to support their social-emotional development and mental health.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, to develop and review students' educational plans and interventions.
- Consult with teachers, parents, and school administrators regarding students' psychological and behavioral concerns, and provide recommendations for interventions and support services.
- Monitor and evaluate students' progress toward academic, social, and emotional goals, and make recommendations for adjustments to intervention plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessment data, counseling sessions, progress notes, and other documentation according to district and state guidelines.
