Requirements:
Applicants must meet all local and state requirements to apply. This may include:

• Holding a valid license to practice occupational therapy in New Mexico.
• Possessing a master's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
• Demonstrating proficiency in conducting assessments and providing therapy for students with sensory, motor, and developmental challenges.
• Passing a background check and any additional screenings required by the district.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students' sensory, motor, and functional skills to determine eligibility for occupational therapy services.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and goals in collaboration with the IEP team, based on assessment results and student needs.
• Provide direct therapy services to students with disabilities, focusing on improving functional performance and independence in educational activities.
• Implement evidence-based interventions and therapeutic techniques to address students' sensory processing, fine motor coordination, visual-motor integration, and self-care skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' participation and success in classroom activities and daily routines.
• Monitor student progress, collect data, and document therapy sessions and progress reports according to district and state requirements.
• Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and other multidisciplinary activities to contribute to students' educational planning and achievement.
