The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to provide speech and language therapy services that support students' educational goals. Our client, a reputable school district in Westchester County, NY, is seeking a dedicated School Speech Language Pathologist for the 2024-2025 school year.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of students to identify their speech and language therapy needs.
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans based on students' specific needs and goals.
• Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in small groups, on a per-diem basis.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to integrate therapy goals into the students' educational programs.
• Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting intervention plans as necessary.
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of students' IEPs.
• Provide training and support to school staff and parents on strategies to support students' speech and language therapy needs.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of therapy sessions, assessments, and progress reports.
• Stay current with best practices, research, and developments in the field of speech and language therapy.

Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.

• Current New York State license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Experience working with children in a school setting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pediatric speech and language therapy practices and principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
