Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for an exciting opportunity in Westmont, IL for the 2024-2025 school year. This position offers a unique bination of a 1:1 assignment and classroom assistant duties.

Position: Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Westmont, IL
Assignment: 1:1 Nursing and Classroom Assistance

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 nursing care to a designated student, addressing their specific medical needs and ensuring their health and safety throughout the school day.
• Assist in the classroom as needed, supporting the students educational experience and working collaboratively with teaching staff.
• Administer medications and perform medical procedures as prescribed by a physician and in accordance with school policies.
• Monitor and manage chronic health conditions, provide first aid, and respond to medical emergencies as required.
• Maintain accurate and confidential medical records for the student, including documentation of care provided and any incidents that occur.
• Work closely with the students family, school staff, and healthcare providers to develop and implement a prehensive health plan.
• Educate school staff and students on health-related topics and procedures to promote a safe and healthy school environment.

Requirements:

• Active RN License in the state of Illinois.
• Illinois Paraeducator Certificate (Para Cert).
• Experience in a school setting or with pediatric patients preferred.
• Strong munication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff.
• Ability to handle medical emergencies calmly and efficiently.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills for managing medical records and care plans.
