Paraprofessional

Location: Hemet, CA

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers with the implementation of lesson plans and instructional materials.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with varying abilities and needs.
• Monitor and manage student behavior to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Help students with tasks such as organization, study skills, and social interactions.
• Support students with special needs by implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral plans.
• Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other staff members regarding student progress and needs.
• Assist with administrative tasks and classroom organization as needed.
• Participate in professional development opportunities and staff meetings.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Associates degree or higher education preferred).
• Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
• Knowledge of special education principles and practices is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support student learning and development.
• Certification as a Paraprofessional (such as the ParaPro Assessment) or willingness to obtain certification is preferred.
