Paraprofessional
Location: Hemet, CA
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers with the implementation of lesson plans and instructional materials.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with varying abilities and needs.
- Monitor and manage student behavior to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Help students with tasks such as organization, study skills, and social interactions.
- Support students with special needs by implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral plans.
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other staff members regarding student progress and needs.
- Assist with administrative tasks and classroom organization as needed.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and staff meetings.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Associates degree or higher education preferred).
- Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of special education principles and practices is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support student learning and development.
- Certification as a Paraprofessional (such as the ParaPro Assessment) or willingness to obtain certification is preferred.
