Full-Time School Occupational Therapist (OT)

Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year in Port Angeles, WA. As a School OT, you will work collaboratively with students, educators, and families to support the development of essential skills for academic success and daily life activities.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' strengths and areas of need related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, and activities of daily living.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and goals in collaboration with IEP teams to address students' occupational therapy needs.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services, including therapeutic interventions, adaptive equipment recommendations, and environmental modifications, to help students access and participate in educational activities.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to implement strategies and accommodations that promote students' independence and achievement within the school environment.
- Maintain accurate documentation of evaluation results, progress reports, and therapy notes in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid Washington State license or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic educational setting.
