We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our virtual school team in California. The Virtual School SLP will be responsible for providing comprehensive speech and language services to students enrolled in our virtual school program. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students, helping them achieve their academic and communication goals from the comfort of their own homes.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students' speech, language, and communication abilities.
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to meet each student's specific needs and goals.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students via virtual platforms, utilizing evidence-based techniques and strategies.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to support student success and promote communication skills in various learning environments.
- Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust therapy plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of services provided, including progress notes, reports, and IEP documentation.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute valuable insights regarding students' speech and language needs.
- Stay current with best practices, research, and trends in the field of speech-language pathology, and integrate new knowledge into practice.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid California state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Experience working with school-aged children and adolescents, preferably in a virtual or teletherapy setting.
- Strong understanding of the assessment and treatment of a wide range of speech and language disorders, including articulation, phonology, language, fluency, and pragmatics.
- Proficiency in utilizing virtual therapy platforms and technology to deliver remote services effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, educators, and other professionals.
- Commitment to providing culturally responsive and inclusive services that respect the diverse backgrounds and experiences of students and families.
