Overview: The Bullard Independent School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated School Counselor to join our team. The School Counselor will provide essential counseling services to students, supporting their academic, career, and personal/social development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students to address academic, career, and personal/social development.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student success.
- Conduct assessments and provide interventions for students experiencing academic or behavioral challenges.
- Assist students in developing academic and career goals.
- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
- Coordinate and participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in School Counseling or related field from an accredited institution.
- Texas state licensure as a School Counselor.
- Certification from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) as a School Counselor.
- Knowledge of counseling techniques and best practices.
- Strong munication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
Required Licensure and Certifications:
- Texas State Licensure: Must hold and maintain a valid license as a School Counselor in Texas.
- Texas Education Agency Certification: Certification as a School Counselor from the Texas Education Agency.
