Position Responsibilities:
- Explaining procedures to patients, preparing patients for x-ray procedures, and performing x-ray exams while producing the highest quality images safely and efficiently
- Ensuring equipment is in working order and reporting all equipment malfunctions to the Radiology Supervisor
- Inspecting exam rooms for cleanliness and equipment condition; stocking and maintaining exam rooms with adequate supplies
- Utilizing radiation protection equipment, shielding materials, and other safety techniques to reduce exposure of radiation to patients, self, and co-workers
- Understanding Arthrogram and injection processes, working with the MRI department to prepare sterile injections, and assisting Advanced Practice Providers with injections
- Maintains patient confidentiality and complies with all HIPAA rules and regulations
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology required
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.) certification required
- License in IA & IL is required
- One year of x-ray experience is required
- Flexibility to work some evenings and Saturdays
- Ability to commute reliably to all ORA locations as needed
