Job Summary
As a Senior Content Editor at Porch Group, you will play a critical role in shaping and growing our brand's earned media presence while ensuring alignment and consistency in our company narrative. You will guide the end-to-end production of our consumer-facing content, particularly our ecommerce pages, and will be the primary owner of our content production project management software. Your responsibilities will include managing and coaching internal writers, liaising with external writers and vendors, and optimizing content budgets.
You will collaborate closely with SEO analysts to define and prioritize monthly content initiatives, ensuring that all content meets our high standards for editorial integrity, accuracy, and legal compliance. Additionally, you will leverage data analytics to continuously optimize content for both internal and external audiences, enhancing engagement and performance. Regularly staying informed on industry news and competitor strategies will be essential to your success in this role.
What You Will Do As A Sr. Content Editor
Oversee the workflow and distribution of content production, both internally and externally, ensuring timely and high-quality output.
Manage and coach internal writers, providing regular feedback to enhance the quality of their work.
Liaise with external writers, editors, and vendors as needed.
Manage and maximize the content budget on a monthly basis.
Collaborate with SEO analysts to ideate and define monthly content priorities.
Ensure all content meets our high standards for editorial integrity, accuracy, and legal compliance.
Schedule and lead collaboration meetings across stakeholders and business units.
Provide regular updates on content production, performance, and key highlights.
Stay up to date on the latest moving and home-buying news, as well as competitors' content strategies.
Create content aligned with our company strategy and narrative using a multi-channel approach to engage internal and external audiences.
What You Will Bring As A Sr. Content Editor
Bachelor's degree in journalism, Marketing, Communications, English, or a related field.
8+ years of experience creating and editing consumer driven content.
Experience creating or editing content based on SEO concepts and best practices.
Deep familiarity and experience with Google's evolving search landscape, including EEAT and other considerations.
Experience with editing and writing moving-related content, especially product-focused content.
Should be able to provide a writing portfolio with proven examples of high quality, results driving content.
Highly accountable, process-oriented team member capable of updating stakeholders on content production progress.
Experience measuring content performance with analytics tools.
Knowledge of Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMRush and other SEO performance tools.
Excellent research, writing, and editing skills, with the ability to edit and rewrite quickly against deadlines.
Exceptional project management skills, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize workload.
Comfortable delivering and receiving feedback with a willingness to coach and develop team members.
Self-sufficient, self-starter with a proven track record of setting and meeting timelines, driving performance, and accountability.

What You Will Get As A Porch Group Team Member
Pay Range*: $84,000-$117,000 Annually
*Please know your actual pay at Porch will reflect a number of factors among which are your work experience and skillsets, job-related knowledge, alignment with market and our Porch employees, as well as your geographic location.
Additionally, you will be eligible to receive long-term incentive awards, subject to program guidelines and approvals.
