Offering a comprehensive outpatient treatment options to our clients we work to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that are effective in helping our clients achieve long-term recovery from substance use disorders.

Interns are responsible for shadowing facility and/or department staff member(s) in relation to the area of focus described in the learning agreement, up into and including: providing supervised client care, facility development, risk and safety management, information technology management, financial management, compliance with regulatory standards, policy and procedure development/implementation and performance improvement activities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plans and implements primary prevention activities within a local agency/ provider.
• Function as a consultant on core teams in assigned school districts and on site in-service /technical assistance to school personnel.
• Maintains client record documentation responsibilities, which includes both DDAP licensure and CIS requirements.
• Maintains a close proximity with the school environment, student body and school personnel by being visible.
• Completes weekly service activity logs accurately recording services provided by: facility number, client number, date of service and type of counseling provided and any SAP reports as assigned.
• Assesses community needs and supplies input to supervisor, assisting in the planning for provision of identified needs.
• Plans and conducts structured learning experience aimed at imparting knowledge concepts, skills and motivation to adapt and maintain lifestyles free of substance abuse.
• Directs discussion groups aimed at imparting information to raise awareness in substance abuse and motivate substance free lifestyles.
• Plans and conducts structured activities designed to help target population develop inter/intra personal skills, which foster substance free lifestyles
• Maintains proper reporting and filing procedures as established by agency funding licensure policies and regulations.
• Demonstrate fulfillment of directives outlined by facility supervisor and intern program leader.
• Demonstrate understanding of technical skills needed for desired job description at completion of internship program.
• Successfully develop and complete personalized learning agreement plan with intern program leader and education liaison.
• Completion and compliance with Pyramid Healthcare’s Affiliation Agreement.
• Maintain an open line of communication with all education liaisons, facility and intern program leaders regarding outcomes, issues and opportunities for improvement.
• Completion of all required trainings as designated by the company and accreditation/licensing entities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Education, Licensure, & Experience
• High School Diploma Required.
• Active enrollment in postsecondary education, or prior graduate of postsecondary education, including
college, university, trade school, professional certification program.
