Teacher Assistant

We are currently looking for experienced Special Education Teacher Assistants to provide direct support to teachers and students for the 2024/2025 school year.

Job Duties Include:

• Follow curriculum developed by teacher
• Lead classroom activities, games
• Assist teachers to develop lesson plans
• Assist with tasks such as eating and/or toileting as needed
• Provide direct support to students including using classroom materials and helping with socialization
• Adapt materials and activities to better suit student’s educational needs
• Monitor Students performance and progress
• Chart interaction and activities as required by IEP plan and funding
• Maintain clean, organized and safe classroom
• Enforce behavioral standards
• Supervise students in classroom, on playground and during meal periods
• Additional duties as assigned by teacher and/or other staff

Classroom positions will start upon successful application completion and on-boarding. Opportunities will be working within SPED programs. Experience with Resource, Autism and Emotional and Behavioral Disorders is preferred but not required.
