Sr. VP of Finance Role Description
Company Overview: The Company has a variety of verticals and affiliated holdings – including real estate development, real estate finance, agriculture/industrial, hospitality, marinas, entertainment and more. We are seeking a highly-motivated individual with significant hands-on, full-cycle transaction experience in complex, high-stakes deals.
Location: Palm Beach County, FL (relocation assistance available).
Relevant Areas: Family Office, Real Estate, Real Estate Finance, Asset Management and Capital Markets (debt and equity sourcing).
Principal Responsibilities:
1. Spearhead sourcing of new investment opportunities, debt and equity capital that align with the company’s financial objectives.
2. Perform rigorous, value-add financial analysis on a wide range of asset classes within the real estate sector (commercial, multifamily, hotels, marinas, etc) and certain operational businesses, across a variety of geographies (urban, rural, local, nationwide).
3. Assist CEO and CFO with project and investment due diligence and evaluation, including financial modeling and reporting, site visits, credit analysis, and underwriting.
4. Negotiate and structure (full-cycle, from term sheet phase to closing) various financing/refinancing structures and their associated agreements, including but not limited to bridge loans, mortgage loans, mezzanine loans and joint venture interests with various stakeholders including banks, borrowers and non-bank lenders.
5. Asset management with respect to the loan portfolio (i.e., handling borrower and guarantor reporting and review of associated financials), owned and/or managed assets and limited partner investments.
6. Maintain banking, broker, developer and other pertinent relationships.
7. Create and maintain business plans, internal memoranda, deal memos, debt and equity books and other presentation materials.
8. Represent the company with banks, developers, brokers and investors.
Desired Qualifications: The candidate should have a college degree (BA/BS) with an emphasis in Finance, Accounting, or Economics (Master’s degree - Real Estate or MBA - strongly preferred). Should have experience in partnering with an executive team, and have a high level of written and oral communication skills. Preference will be given to candidates with 10+ years of experience in real estate/real estate finance, preferably in a major real estate market such as New York City.
Travel: Will work in an office environment. Travel (project sites) may be necessary.
Salary: Commensurate with experience.
