Job Title:                      Field Service Technician

Reports To:                  Regional Service Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

• Troubleshoot, repair and retrofit CNC machining centers.
• Setup, install, and commission of CNC machines and install retrofits.
• Conducts training on the operation and maintenance of CNC machining centers.
• Assures machine performance to the OEM specification.
• Renders technical advice and acts as a trusted advisor to customers.
• Provides detailed reports upon completion of service jobs.
• Maintains good communication with Service Department personnel both remote and at the headquarters in Charlotte, NC.
• Up to 100% nationwide travel including some travel to Canada, Mexico and Germany.

• Valid driver’s license/passport required.

• Works nights and weekends as necessary.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with CNC equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS:  

• Advanced understanding of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting techniques on CNC equipment.

• Effectively prioritize work assignments and demonstrate good time management.

• Decision maker with positive attitude and ability to multi-task.
• Self-motivated, customer oriented.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced computer skills in Microsoft office.
