Job Summary:

The Safe Harbor Healing Hands LCSW Mental Health Program Manager will spearhead initiatives for at-risk homeless LGBTQ youth and young adults who have been victims of crime. The candidate must possess a profound understanding of the unique challenges faced by these populations and demonstrate a commitment to fostering a supportive and healing environment.

General Accountabilities:

- Design, launch, and oversee mental health programs specifically tailored for at-risk homeless LGBTQ youth and young adults victimized by crime.

- Engage, lead, and mentor a team of social workers, clinicians, and support staff committed to delivering compassionate and professional mental health services.

- Establish and maintain partnerships with LGBTQ organizations, homeless advocacy groups, legal services, and other relevant stakeholders to enhance service provision.

- Implement best practices and evidence-based approaches in trauma-informed care to support healing and recovery for clients.

- Actively monitor and assess the effectiveness and efficiency of the programs, initiating improvements and modifications as necessary.

- Facilitate ongoing training and professional development for staff, ensuring cultural competency and expertise in working with LGBTQ populations and crime victims.

- Develop and adhere to program budgets, allocating resources judiciously and ensuring financial sustainability.

- Advocate for the rights and needs of LGBTQ youth and young adults within the organization and in the wider community.

Job Qualifications:

- Preferred Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

- Preferred Valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential.

- Required Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, with a focus on LGBTQ youth, homeless populations, and victims of crime.

- Required proven experience in managing and leading mental health programs and multidisciplinary teams.

- Deep understanding of the issues faced by LGBTQ youth, particularly those who are homeless and have been victims of crime.

- Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and evaluate innovative mental health programs and services.

- Strong commitment to social justice, equity, and inclusion principles.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.

- Previous work experience in non-profit or community-based mental health settings.

- Expertise in trauma-informed care and crisis intervention techniques.

- Familiarity with grant writing, fund development, and financial management within the non-profit sector.
