The Regional Sales Manager must be people-oriented, metrics driven, organized, and attentive to details with excellent written and oral communication skills.
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth and managing the sales operations within a specified region. This role will work closely with various departments within the company and external client and reports to the National Sales and Marketing Manager.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base in the assigned region.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing solutions to meet those needs.
- Monitor sales metrics and analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
- Prepare regular sales forecasts and reports for senior management.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to ensure alignment of sales strategies with overall company goals.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to adjust strategies accordingly.
- Manage the sales budget for the region, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
Ideal candidate will have a background in one or more of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Regional Sales Manager or similar role in sales management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Ability to analyze sales data and market trends to inform decision-making.
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability and willingness to travel within the region as required.
- Experience in selling process instrumentation, weighing devices, controlled environments, or laboratory equipment.
- Strong network of industry contacts in the region.
- Familiarity with ISO 17025 standards and calibration services
