Driving: Ability to drive and own an adequately insured vehicle is preferred but not required. In the absence of a personal vehicle, the employee can get reimbursement for the use of Uber-like services for work appointments. Whenever possible, other employees will offer a carpool option for free.

Education: College degree is required, preferably in Finance or Business Administration
Experience: 3 years in the accounting role, hands-on knowledge of Quickbooks or similar software
Technical Abilities: Some technical abilities and knowledge of security and network systems. ATS provides continuing training in company products and services.
Operating Database: Knowledge of ConnectWise Manage or similar operational database is highly desired
Payroll Systems: 1 year of payroll experience is highly desired

PURPOSE:
The Accountant leads the financial reporting, billing, and accounting functions, manages payroll for a small team of up to 20 employees, covers administrative and office management functions, manages customer contracts, purchasing, license renewals, provides backup to scheduling and phone work, manages inventory, manages vendor and distributor partnerships, and actively serves on the management team. The Accountant might supervise admin staff.
Job Functions:
Financial reporting, tax-related reporting, and budgeting: 35% of total workload
· Manages the month-end close processes
· Prepares assigned journal entries of monthly transactions (Payroll and CPC)
· Reconciles assigned general ledger accounts monthly, resolves variances, and adjusts as necessary
· Administrates Simple Pension plans
· Pay Washington sales tax monthly
· Reviews AP invoices and prepares biweekly vendor payments and AP reporting
· Maintains the accounting software
· Participates in tax filings and budgeting
· Updates and records all changes to fixed assets, including additions and deletions, transfers, and depreciation expense
· Creates reporting, analyzes information, and provides reports as requested
· Supports CEO with reports, analysis, insights on the financial health of the organization
· Performs annual activities such as 1099’s and annual state filings
Purchasing, vendor management, and license renewals: 35% of total workload
· Purchasing of supplies, including hardware, purchasing planning, and documentation in ERP (ConnectWise)
· Managing PO ordering system
· Managing license renewals for ATS and the customers
· Bidding and negotiating of the prices on behalf of ATS
· Managing rebates and discounts
· Inventory management, proper and timely amortization, and disposal of obsolete inventory
Billing, customer contracts 20% of total workload
· Managing invoicing and billing functions
· Managing proposals
· Participation in costing the projects
Admin Work: 10% of total workload
· Website management
· Implementation of new systems, onboarding new vendors
· Payroll backups
· Policy creation and revision participation
