Busy surgical office looking for a positive and motivated individual to manage the front office staff members. Duties include
• Front Office (FO) staff time off management
o Maintain sufficient number of staffing for effective operations
o Provide front desk coverage for effective operations
o Distribution of duties based on employee's ability and availability
• FO sick/vacation coverage / working member of FO
o Check-in/Check-out
o Phones
o Prep of patient's upcoming appointment needs to include insurance authorizations, in-house drug availability, copayment information, etc.
o Other misc duties
• MD weekly schedule review and management
o Review MD schedules for double-booked appointments and delegate rescheduling to staff
o Review MD schedules for patient's needed future appointments and delegate calling of patients
o Answer daily questions about scheduling: same day work-ins, urgent, no openings and creating available slots
o
• FO training
o New hires: Comprehensive start to finish and follow-up
o Current employees on new duties
o Communicate with individual FO on mistakes/areas of improvement
• Working with Billing/Back Office supervisor to create policies, procedures, and forms
• Communicating and performing follow-up on new policies and procedures
• Print monthly patient recalls and labels and distribute to staff for stuffing and mailing
Experience in a medical setting preferred.
