Title: 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician
Location: New Berlin, WI
Salary: $33.00 - $38.00/hr
Bonus: $3 Shift Premium
Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Supervisor, Maintenance; the Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing duties to repair and maintain machinery, equipment, buildings, and facilities requiring a broad knowledge of maintenance skills including mechanical repair, plumbing, welding, carpentry, fabrication, and a basic knowledge of electrical repair.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
• Install, repair, rebuild, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment used in production and related services.
• Diagnose machine malfunctions and operating difficulties.
• Make repairs or adjustments to keep equipment in production.
• Rebuild machines and overhaul troublesome components and attachments to involve dismantling, inspection, machining or replacement of purchased parts.
• Perform skilled operations such as filing and aligning bearings, and shafts; adjust feed and limit mechanisms.
• Perform various activities relative to the installation and relocation of existing machines and equipment to involve dismantling, erection, leveling, fitting and aligning operations.
• Perform maintenance on the buildings, facilities, and the grounds.
• Assist to determine the nature and scope of forthcoming projects and the requirements for completion.
• Perform preventive maintenance on heating, ventilating, and air conditioning units.
• Maintain required maintenance logs and files.
• Perform routine housekeeping activities in the department and ensure adherence to established safety procedures and requirements.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
• Requires a broad knowledge of mechanical repair and maintenance.
• High school Diploma and five (5) to seven (7) years of progressively responsible related experience;
• Other combination of education and experience that would be equivalent or exceed above two standard.
• Effective oral and written communications are essential, as are interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work effectively in a team environment is required.
• Must have effective PC skills to include MS Office software such as Excel and Word. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and with frequent, established deadlines is required.
• Organizational and analytical skills are required.
• Work effectively with diverse populations is required.
• Language Skills: Ability to speak, read, and comprehend English.
• Interpret documents such as blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Able to write standard documentation. Able to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Able to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Calculate figures and amounts such as dimensions, tolerances, proportions and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Reasoning Ability - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
