Top Healthcare Company based in Melville, NY is currently seeking Revenue Cycle Performance Analyst to join their team.
The ideal candidate has 7+ years in the medical field examining revenue cycle data to uncover trends, identify issues, and spot opportunities for improvement.
The position is paying up to $100K and the company would like to hire ASAP.
**Responsibilities:**
- Analyze revenue cycle data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for revenue cycle performance.
- Review dashboards, work queues, collections, allowances, and denials to identify patterns and trends, and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare reports and presentations on revenue cycle metrics and performance for senior management.
- Collaborate with finance, billing, and coding teams to streamline processes and resolve issues.
- Conduct regular reviews to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and minimize revenue leakage.
- Provide training and support to staff on best practices and new processes.
- Stay current on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting revenue cycle management.
- Develop and maintain up-to-date departmental manuals, as needed.
- Review aged trial balances and ensure efficient handling of accounts.
- Communicate patient-related information to relevant departments, as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulatory standards, staying informed on federal, state, and county regulations pertaining to collections.
- Manage the department budget efficiently.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, healthcare administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in hospital patient access services, including three (3) years of supervisory experience.
- Relevant certification (e.g., Certified Revenue Cycle Representative - CRCR) is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
- Experience in revenue cycle management, medical billing, and coding is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Advanced knowledge of hardware/software related to hospital registration/billing systems.
- Proficiency in Epic application.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, including CPT and ICD.
- Computer literacy.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and accept direction on given assignments.
- Knowledge of billing guidelines.
- Ability to interact harmoniously with co-workers across all departments.
- Professional appearance.
- Ability to multitask effectively.
