Working alongside a dynamic team of teachers and Speech, Occupational and ABA Therapists, the Special Education Teacher will supervise one of our ABA Classrooms. In these classrooms, we serve infants and toddlers aged 2-3 that have been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) as well as other global delays. Children in our autism program will receive 1:1 highly individualized ABA instruction with goals that are child-specific based on thorough assessment, ongoing data collection, and data-driven decision making. Teaching methods used in this classroom include applied behavior analysis, discrete trial teaching, and a multidisciplinary team consisting of speech therapists, occupational therapist, and a licensed psychologist providing additional therapeutic support.

Responsibilities and Duties of Early Intervention Classroom Teachers:

· Implement programs based on the science of applied behavior analysis, speech and language pathology, and occupational therapy

· Conduct intake and ongoing assessments of students

· Collect data on child’s progress, behaviors, and performance

· Conduct group activities and group instruction

· Participate in implementation of behavior intervention plans

· Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings

· Supervise/train teaching assistants, student teachers, and interns

· Participate in staff meetings and staff training sessions

Complete progress report for parent-teacher meetings

Classroom Assistant - 

Job Description

Working with the direction of the Head Teacher and Director of ABA Therapy, the Classroom Assistant will utilize Applied Behavioral Analysis to help Therapists treat children with autism as a 1:1 assistant in a group setting. The role will require communicating with a variety of professionals and parents, managing children’s data while ensuring compliance and providing exceptional services to children.

Key Responsibilities

 Work one-on-one with 2 -3-year-old children receiving Early Intervention services under the direct supervision of Special Education Teachers and certified personnel.

Adhere to Health & Wellness policies to ensure a Safe Environment 

Monitor classroom supplies and follow daycare procedures for child safety

Participate in training and educational modules on autism and training in ABA Therapy

Collaborate with related service providers including Speech Therapists, Occupation Therapists, and other professionals.

Ensure compliance with governmental authorities in all operational practices and compliance with state regulations.
