An iMPact Business Group client is seeking an experienced Helpdesk / Service Desk Technician for a contract-to-hire role.
The ideal candidate is able to start out 3 days a week on contract and then expand their participation over time. This firm is growing and so are their Technical Support needs.
This is a Senior hands-on Technology support role. One where you may also end up mentoring Junior staff on your team as well.
This position will involve using your strong Technology Support experience to provide ongoing support to a variety of Business Customers in a Customer-focused, Customer-Service oriented manner..
The general user base typically has strong technical skills in their own discipline - Manufacturing, Engineering, Accounting, Design, Supply Chain and they all welcome Technology Support coming from an informed user perspective.
This role will deliver support for a variety of hardware/software including - Network/Computing Infrastructure, Security, SSO/IAM, and Business Applications including the expanded use of the corporate ERP system.

Job Requirements
- Bachelors Degree, strongly preferred
- 5-7+ years experience performing Helpdesk/Service desk support
- Current hands-on Technology support experience (this is a roll-up-your-sleeves and help-where-needed role)
- Experience orienting and/or mentoring Junior Service desk staff
- Experience reviewing, defining, and improving Helpdesk / Service desk processes and procedures
- Experience building and supporting an internal Knowledge Base for helpdesk processes
- Helpdesk automation experience - tools beyond just a ticketing system, ie. working with tools for - Software Deployment, Remote Support, CMDB, AI, DevOps, and related automation for System / User Support
- System/Security Administration, SSO, IAM and related experience
