Meadowbrook Care Center has full-time openings for CNA (Certified Nurse Assistants). The CNA will interact directly with our residents, providing comfort and transportation, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with activities of daily living. Successful candidates are compassionate, dependable, and energetic individuals who strive for nursing excellence, have high standards of integrity and ethics, and enjoy working in a team environment. Meadowbrook Care Center offers 8-hour shifts.
Available hours:
Full Time/Part Time: Days (7:00AM-3:00PM)
Full Time/Part Time: Evenings (3:00PM-11:00PM)
Part Time: Nights (11:00PM-7:00AM)
We offer flexible schedules!
CNA Responsibilities:
- Assist with activities of daily living. This includes delivering meals to patients, turning and ambulating patients and providing hydration as ordered.
- Help patients with personal hygiene. Provide patients with bedpans, help with baths, shampoos and showers
- Check vital signs and record daily information in the patient’s chart
- Assist the nurses and other staff as needed
- Adhere to professional standards, follow policies and procedures and abide by federal, state and local requirements.
CNA Requirements & Skills:
- High School diploma or GED
- Completion of state-approved CNA certification of training course (Must have NY Certification).
- Previous experience as a CNA preferred.
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work as part of team and multitask
- Good communication skills
Meadowbrook Care Center is a 280 Bed Extended & Short-Term Care Facility located in Freeport, New York, home to Long Island’s Historic Nautical Community. The Center offers 24 hour extended care in an environment specifically created to enhance daily living while providing quality care.
