Position Overview
The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for managing and nurturing relationships with key customers in the 3PL sector. The KAM role supports the entire Flex Logistics platform reporting to the SVP of Sales and focuses on understanding the unique needs of each key account, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, and driving business growth through tailored solutions and services. The KAM will work closely with internal teams to deliver exceptional service and meet the strategic goals of both the customer and the company.

Accountabilities
Client Relationship Management:
· Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, fostering strong relationships to understand needs and objectives.
· Maintain regular communication to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty.
· Work with customer to understand services (Value Added Services, Fulfillment, Transportation) and other services we provide.
Account Growth
· Identify and pursue opportunities to expand services with existing key accounts across our national footprint.
· Develop strategies for upselling and cross-selling services that drive revenue growth.
Negotiation
· Support contract negotiations, that delivers optimal pricing structure to deliver value internally and to the client.
· Collaborate with internal teams to prepare pricing structures and renewal contracts that align with key account specifications.
Financial
· Work with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Customer Service teams to assess growth opportunities that deliver optimal revenue and margin with existing accounts.
Performance Monitoring
· Track and analyze key account performance metrics, including revenue, profitability, and client satisfaction.
Team Collaboration
· Work closely with the Sales and Marketing team, including operations, logistics, and customer service, to ensure a seamless service delivery to key accounts.
· Act as a liaison between the client and internal teams to facilitate effective communication and problem-solving.
Skills
· Strong client management and relationship-building skills that is focused on client success.
· Excellent negotiation and upselling abilities that is focused on client needs and revenue generation.
· Deep understanding of solutions, including warehousing, VAS, fulfillment, distribution services and logistics.
· Proven track record of managing large or key accounts with successful outcomes and measurable results.
· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
· Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and regional teams.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Word, and CRM platforms.
· Attention to detail and ability to work independently and in a team setting.
Working Conditions
· This position requires the employee work on-site based in our Elwood, Illinois Distribution Center.
· Must be able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
· This role may require travel to client facilities, industry events, and company locations.

Experience:
· Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in account management, sales, or client relations, preferably within the logistics or 3PL industry.
