UMG Urgent Care is a State of the Art Center located in Columbia, Maryland. We are seeking skillful, enthusiastic, Nurse Practioners to join our amazing team. We have Full Time and Part Time positions available. We care for patients of all ages.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illnesses
• Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as x-rays, EKGs, and laboratory tests
• Have healthy technical skills in suturing, I&D’s, fracture care.
• Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures
• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
• Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care

Qualifications:

• Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Active NP for Maryland
• 1-2 years of full-time overall experience as an NP
• Knowledge of medication management
• Ability to work independently as a provider and as part of a clinical team
• Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
• Primary care, urgent care, and critical care preferred
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong leadership qualities
