We are seeking a Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner to become a part of our team! You will focus on providing high quality patient care as part of a healthcare team.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illnesses
- Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
- Develop and implement patient treatment plans
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
- Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care
- Perform routine medical procedures, such as joint injections or skin lesion removal
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with all applicable regulations.
Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the State of Tennessee.
- Valid license to practice in the State of Tennessee
- National Certification
Experience:
- Prefer 2 years of experience in a primary care setting.
- Proficiency in performing physical examinations, taking vital signs, and administering medications.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and primary care coding.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in a rural or primary care setting is highly desirable but not required.
Skills:
- Competent in management of acute and chronic illnesses.
- Ability to take and interpret vital signs and perform physical examinations.
- Perform routine medical procedures, such as joint injections and skin lesion removal.
- Ability to perform Department of Transportation examinations desirable.
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in sports medicine evaluation and knowledge of orthopedic injury management is highly desirable.
