We are seeking a Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner to become a part of our team! You will focus on providing high quality patient care as part of a healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illnesses
• Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
• Develop and implement patient treatment plans
• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
• Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care
• Perform routine medical procedures, such as joint injections or skin lesion removal
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with all applicable regulations.

Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in the State of Tennessee.
• Valid license to practice in the State of Tennessee
• National Certification

Experience:

• Prefer 2 years of experience in a primary care setting.
• Proficiency in performing physical examinations, taking vital signs, and administering medications.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and primary care coding.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in a rural or primary care setting is highly desirable but not required.

• Ability to take and interpret vital signs and perform physical examinations.
• Perform routine medical procedures, such as joint injections and skin lesion removal.
• Ability to perform Department of Transportation examinations desirable.
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in sports medicine evaluation and knowledge of orthopedic injury management is highly desirable.
