Embedded Software Engineer (Jr – Sr)

You will be part of a tightly integrated team and will design and develop code in languages such as C/C++ and Python for our mission systems. You will help design, implement, and document optimized software applications and modules that provide key functionality for small satellite payload products. You will work closely with our hardware and test teams to design and verify our products. Critical systems include mission data processing and mission management tools that will run in our on- orbit processors (CPU, GPU, and FPGAs) and ground architectures. You will also have opportunities to participate in program reviews with US Government officials to include development status and performance results. Your primary work location will be the Augustus headquarters in Lone Tree, CO. On occasion you will support meetings and perform integration testing at other locations in the metro-Denver area. Your travel outside of CO will be limited to a few times a year at most.

• Design and develop software for communications, digital signal processing, control logic and processing algorithm
• Design and perform software module testing
• Document design and system code including theory of operation
• Test products with other software modules and hardware subsystems/systems

Required

• US Citizen or national
• Experience with a C-family languages (i.e., C/C++)
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to obtain and hold a SECRET-level security clearance

Preferred

• Relevant experience with low-level programming and embedded firmware
• Experience with scripting languages (python, bash, etc.)
• Experience with various operating systems (Linux, FreeRTOS, eCos, etc)
• Experience with GPU programming (Cuda)
• Xilinx Zynq/ARM processor development experience
• Familiarity with DSP
• Experience with Git version control
