Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Community Health Center of Fort Dodge, Inc., a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) committed to providing high-quality, comprehensive care to underserved communities. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will deliver mental health services across the lifespan, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management for patients with a wide range of psychiatric disorders.

Qualifications:
Education:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing with a specialty in Psychiatric-Mental Health.
Licensure/Certification:
- Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Iowa or ability to obtain.
- Board Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
- DEA registration and prescriptive authority in Iowa or ability to obtain.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in psychiatric/mental health care, preferably in a community health or underserved setting.
Skills:
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills in children and adults.
- Proficiency in psychopharmacology and medication management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Cultural competence and a commitment to serving diverse populations.
Work Environment:
- This position is based in a Federally Qualified Health Center that serves a diverse patient population, including those with limited access to healthcare.
- Work hours may include evenings to meet patient needs.
