Occupational Therapist / Cognitive Therapist

Care First Rehabilitation, a growing Residential, and Outpatient Neuro-Rehabilitation Program that serves the catastrophically injured, is looking for an organized, self-motived, confident individual to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is efficient and able to multi-task in a changing and at times, fast-paced, environment. This person is resourceful, a good problem solver, able to work independently, and has ideas to create efficiencies to improve operational performance. The ideal candidate will have attained at minimum a Masters Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program, and be licensed in the state of Michigan (OTR). This individual will also have experience in a Neuro-Cognitive Day Program, or Neuro-Rehabilitation program specializing in Traumatic Brain Injury.

Responsibilities:

• A minimum of three years of clinical experience with traumatic or acquired brain injuries or related neurological conditions.
• Knowledge of complex neurologic injury rehabilitation techniques working with TBI Clients
• Maintains professional license and/or certification as required by the state of Michigan.
• Demonstrates effective and professional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Able to work independently and part of a team.
• Organized and able to function under minimal supervision.
• Has reliable transportation and is able to travel to/from multiple programmatic locations (Residential Program, Outpatient Program, Neuro-Cognitive Day Program based in Beverly Hills and Troy MI).
• Provide a written, detailed, individualized assessment of TBI-related issues, including a thorough review of all assessment and treatment records to date, in a timely and ethical manner.
• Provide a bi-weekly progress report indicating functional changes in coping abilities, successful coping strategies identified, barriers, and potential indicators for future intervention(s) in a timely and ethical manner.
• Able to assist with programing a complex Neuro-Rehabilitation Program
• Able to assist with programming a complex Vocational Rehabilitation Program
• Adhere to all HIPAA requirements

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45.00 per hour
