Job Description
Part time position for a  licensed physical therapy assistant (PTA) in the Poughkeepsie NY area.  To work with patients in an assisted living facility.

Qualifications

  • A graduate of an accredited PTA Program
  • Current New York State Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) License
Responsibilities

  • Follow the plan of care set out by the supervising physical therapist
  • Measure & record resident’s motor function, strength, and muscle performance
  • Observe and document on resident performance
  • Treat residents with varieties of techniques, like stretching and massage, assist residents in carrying out specific exercises
  • Maintains Resident confidence by keeping information confidential
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements
