Assurance Technology Corporation (ATC) is a leader in the design, development, delivery and support of advanced RF, Optical, Processing and Power systems key to space, avionics, shipboard and terrestrial operations in support of the US military, NASA, NOAA and the commercial sector.
A Linux System Administrator Developer is needed in the Stafford, VA location. This position requires a flexible individual with experience in Linux system administration throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
Candidates will provide backend server as well as end-user support including upgrades, system refresh, automated patch and update deployment, continuous monitoring using best practices, and cyber security tools. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team is required. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: customer interface to gather and document requirements, designing, implementing, and testing functional capabilities based on customer requirements in a timely manner, installing and maintaining Linux systems in production environments, and Linux system administration including backup, security management, bash scripting, and user account management. Other job functions include hardening OS and applications to required configurations (e.g. DISA STIGs), compliance/vulnerability monitoring with HBSS and ACAS, and network troubleshooting.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in IT, Networking, or Engineering is required, however current/past work experience may be substituted for a technical degree. 1-3+ years of experience with Linux System Administration is required as well as 6 and/or 7 experience with Enterprise Linux Distributions (RHEL, CENTOS). Successful candidates must be well-organized, a good communicator, and capable of multi-tasking; must possess strong analytical skills, and be able to work in a team environment. Individuals will be required to be compliant with DoD 8570 (Security+, CISSP, etc.) in a given period of time, post-employment.
Candidates must be US citizens eligible for a Top Secret/SCI clearance.
