Job Description
Our Client supports all major carriers throughout the mid-Atlantic region. Currently they are seeking a wireless field engineer to support carriers as they all migrate to 5G framework. This role will require local travel around the Richmond/Nova market. All expenses will be paid by the client for travel, and lodging if needed. The engineer will also be provided a company vehicle.
Job Responsibilities:
-Perform basic test & turn-up of the equipment after install complete. 6160, 6131s
-Perform basic DC power and battery swaps - B160s
-Perform installation, testing/troubleshooting, and decommissioning of existing and new fiber optic cable to the site,
-Must have experience with in lacing cables, crimping techniques and wireless experience.
-Swap out former equipment at cell sites (ALU, Nokia, Samsung, Ericsson) - L600, L700 L1900,
-Ensure projects are delivered on time with safety and quality customer experience.
-Successfully lead a team of 1-2 technicians across multiple site locations.
Required Qualifications:
-Experience in performing the installation services in or more of the following areas: Equipment installation (Nokia, Ericsson, ALU) at MTSO / Cell sites, Power Plant Installation & Live Swap / Cut-Over, Battery Installation & Replacement, DAS Equipment Installation, Frame installation, ladder rack, and fiber guides installation, Cables installation (Copper, Fiber, and RF Coax)
-Have experience in working all types of environments such as but not limited to indoors, outdoors, rooftops, customer premises.
-Superior knowledge of all aspects of telecom installation process at cell site locations.
-Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
-Good knowledge of customer installation quality standards of major services providers such as AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint.
