We are offering a contract-to-hire opportunity for a Senior Project Manager in the financial services industry, located in Chicago, Illinois. This role can be performed 100% remote. The successful candidate will be expected to oversee software delivery and maintenance for loan origination systems and manage vendor processes. This role is pivotal in managing operational and regulatory risk, streamlining release management processes, and setting up a unified roadmap.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and enhance software technology delivery for the Loan Origination System application

• Manage vendor processes and relationships, including conducting regular performance reviews and ensuring compliance

• Strategize and streamline release management processes, aligning change and issue management processes with enterprise standards

• Guide testing teams to build high-quality test strategies and practices that support shorter release frequency and reduce production defects

• Manage operational and regulatory risk within the mortgage lending sector

• Develop tools for effective vendor management, including managing vendor information, compliance requirements, and contract terms

• Resolve any challenges in delivery management while focusing on automation and quality

• Conduct regular performance reviews with vendors, manage incidents, and ensure compliance

• Be involved in re-negotiating contracts and onboarding new vendors.

• Demonstrated experience in the Financial Services industry

• Proven track record in Project Management, preferably at a senior level

• Proficiency in Mortgage Lending practices and regulations

• Strong skills in Delivery Management, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget

• Experience in Quality Assurance to maintain the highest standards of project execution

• Vendor Management skills to effectively negotiate and manage external suppliers

• People Management abilities, including team leadership, delegation, and performance management
