We are searching for a Bookkeeper to join our team in Grand Prairie, Texas. This role involves a variety of accounting and administrative tasks, including payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and contract administration. The Bookkeeper will be expected to manage and maintain accurate customer records, process customer applications, and resolve customer inquiries.
Responsibilities:
• Administer weekly payroll, including deductions such as child support and garnishments.
• Assist with quarterly and year-end tax reports.
• Assist with journal entries as needed and review Income Statements and Balance Sheets.
• Handle full-cycle accounts payable processes, including issuing purchase orders, matching, and processing payments.
• Manage vendor credit applications and maintain vendor records.
• Reconcile bank accounts and process credit card payments and ACH payments.
• Invoice service department work orders and manage collection calls.
• Execute contracts, change orders, and progress billings.
• Oversee business license applications, renewals, and contractor’s licenses in other states.
• Assist as needed with monthly state sales tax reports.
• Monitor financials and assist in outside CPA reviews and yearly audits.
• Perform job/phase coding related to billings, accounts payable, and payroll for Job Reports.
• Manage fixed assets list and oversee Workers Comp yearly Insurance Audit.
• Manage Work Comp claims and health benefits administration.
• Handle retirement plan administration.
• Generate OSHA reports.
• Invoice contract jobs with AIA standards and manage lien waivers
• Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Bookkeeper
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Bank Reconciliations is necessary
• Demonstrated expertise in Bookkeeping and Data Entry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
• Experience with Month End Close procedures is essential
• Must have experience in Payroll management
• Knowledge of Sage 50 and other Sage Software is important
