We are offering an opportunity for a Bookkeeper to join our team based in Nashua, New Hampshire. This role primarily involves managing and supporting accounting staff, handling billing, bookkeeping, payroll/benefits, and accounts payable functions. The Bookkeeper will also be tasked with maintaining bank accounts, managing insurance plans for the firm and firm employees, and overseeing various financial reporting tasks.
Responsibilities:
• Train, manage and provide support to accounting staff
• Handle billing, bookkeeping, payroll/benefits, and accounts payable functions
• Advise management regarding budgeting, financial performance, and financial planning
• Prepare monthly financial statements for review and analysis
• Maintain and reconcile bank accounts, including funds transfers to and from IOLTA accounts
• Manage IOLTA accounts to ensure compliance with regulations
• Co-manage insurance plans for the firm and firm employees
• Perform General Ledger analysis and provide annual financial data to outside accountants/tax preparers
• Oversee 401(k) reporting and funds transfers as required
• Conduct specific financial daily, weekly, and monthly reporting
• Carry out Ad Hoc duties as needed to support the financial management of the firm• Possession of at least 5 years of experience in a bookkeeping role
• Proficiency in account reconciliation
• Experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
• Knowledge and experience in conducting bank reconciliations
• Demonstrated skills in bookkeeping practices
• Proficiency in data entry tasks
• Experience with Microsoft Excel in a professional setting
• Knowledge of month-end close procedures
• Experience in payroll management
• Proficiency in using QuickBooks software for financial tasks.
