We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Software Engineer III in Chicago, Illinois. The role is primarily focused on the software industry, specifically dealing with both front-end and back-end development. The workplace is open to remote work, preferably in the Chicagoland area, and requires an overlap with UK time.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain software applications using Angular and Java, while ensuring secure coding best practices.
• Design and implement RESTful Microservices, along with the necessary design patterns.
• Utilize cloud technologies for end-to-end deployment, including Microsoft Azure applications like Azure Container Apps, Event Hub, Queues, and Storage.
• Work with both SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases for data management.
• Leverage your experience with
Lucene/Elasticsearch to enhance search capabilities within the software.
• Implement integration patterns, including Webhooks, as needed in the project.
• Collaborate with the team in a trade domain project, which impacts both existing compliance customers and a new product for new customers.
• Communicate effectively within the team and display excellent team-player skills.
• Balance your skills and demonstrate experience across both backend and frontend development.
• Uphold software engineering best practices throughout all stages of development.
Experience: Minimum 5-7 years hands on Engineering role
Education: Masters/Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
Core Skills :
- Experienced Angular developer
- Experienced Java, Springboot developer
- Good experience with cloud technologies, end-to-end deployment, 'preferably with Azure' e.g; Azure Container Apps, Event Hub, Queues, Storage
- Experience with Lucene/Elasticsearch is valuable
- Experience with SQL(PostGreSQL) and NoSQL(MongoDB) is necessary
- RESTful Microservices, design patterns is necessary, GraphQL is valued
- Experience with Webhooks and other integration patterns are valued
