Job Description: Blazer Jobs, in partnership with the local school district, is currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a full-time position during the 2024-2025 school year in Manassas, VA. If you are passionate about supporting the communication development of students and assisting licensed speech-language pathologists, we invite you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist licensed speech-language pathologists in conducting assessments and developing treatment plans
• Provide direct therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to implement therapy goals and strategies
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and participation in therapy sessions
• Support students with speech and language activities in individual and group settings
• Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field
• Virginia State Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
• Previous experience working with children or in a school setting is preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
