About the PositionWe are seeking a dedicated Hospital Pharmacist to take on inpatient pharmacy staffing duties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inpatient pharmacy, capable of navigating the challenges of a rural hospital setting while providing top-notch patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Medication Management: Oversee the distribution and management of medications within the hospital, ensuring safety and accuracy.
- Clinical Support: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outes through effective medication therapy management.
- Patient Safety: Monitor patient medication therapy for effectiveness and adverse effects, making necessary adjustments.
- Technology Utilization: Utilize Cerner for electronic health records and Pyxis for automated medication dispensing to streamline pharmacy operations.
- Inventory Management: Maintain appropriate inventory levels, manage medication orders, and ensure pliance with regulations.
Qualifications- Licensure: Must have a current and valid Nevada (NV) Pharmacist License.
- Experience: Previous inpatient pharmacy experience is required, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with Cerner and Pyxis systems is a plus.
