Paraprofessional
Location: Elizabethtown, PA
Position Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and instructional activities.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students as directed by the teacher.
- Help with classroom management, maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.
- Support students with diverse learning needs, including those with disabilities or behavioral challenges.
- Monitor and document student progress, reporting observations and concerns to the teacher.
- Prepare instructional materials and classroom resources as needed.
- Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and parents/guardians.
- Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and other required events.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the educational process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree or higher preferred.
- Experience working with children or in an educational setting is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and other staff members.
- Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain organization.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with educational software and tools.
