Staff Pharmacist (Maternity Coverage)

Overview: RPh on the Go is seeking a skilled and reliable Staff Pharmacist to provide maternity leave coverage for aLong Term Care Pharmacy in Cabin Creek, WV. This role involves supporting our high-volume pharmacy, which serves 40 nursing homes across West Virginia. The focus will be on verifying prescriptions, managing automation systems, and ensuring accuracy in medication dispensing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify prescriptions and products for accuracy.
• Oversee and verify the work of automation systems, including checking blister packs.
• Physically enter prescriptions into the system.
• Check the work of pharmacy technicians to ensure quality and compliance.
• Respond to and process emergency prescription requests.
• Verify and fill prescriptions as needed.

Technology & Systems:

• Program Systems: Framework, LTC, and ECM
• Automation: Noritsu (high-speed robot for filling strip pouches)

Requirements:

• Active and clear West Virginia State Pharmacist license with no negative history.
• Previous experience in Long Term Care pharmacy is preferred.
