We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Consumer Loan Processor. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and processing consumer loan applications, ensuring that all documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with regulatory requirements. This role is essential in helping our customers achieve their financial goals while maintaining the highest standards of service and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loan Application Processing: Review and process consumer loan applications, including personal loans, auto loans, and credit lines, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected and verified.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate with applicants to gather required information, explain loan terms, and answer any questions related to the loan process.
- Documentation Review: Verify the accuracy and completeness of all loan documentation, including income verification, credit reports, and identification.
- Compliance: Ensure all loan files meet regulatory and company guidelines, maintaining strict adherence to lending policies and procedures.
- Coordination: Work closely with underwriters, loan officers, and other team members to facilitate the timely approval and funding of loans.
- Data Entry: Accurately input loan application information into the loan processing system, maintaining up-to-date records.
- Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies in the loan application process, escalating complex cases to management as needed.
- Status Updates: Provide regular updates to applicants and loan officers regarding the status of loan applications.
- File Maintenance: Organize and maintain loan files, ensuring all documents are properly filed and accessible for audits or reviews.
- Ad-Hoc Duties: Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned by the Loan Processing Manager.

Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in loan processing, preferably in a consumer lending environment.
- Skills: Proficiency in loan processing software, Microsoft Office Suite, and data entry.
- Knowledge: Understanding of lending regulations and guidelines, including knowledge of the loan application process.
- Attributes: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
