We are seeking a Credit Manager to join our team in Basehor, Kansas. The role will involve managing and evaluating credit data, overseeing a team, and maintaining customer relationships. Responsibilities:
• Evaluate fiscal documents and credit data to determine the risk associated with extending credit or issuing loans.
• Organize and finalize credit memos for submission to the loan committee for approval.
• Use financial software systems to generate financial ratios for determining customers' financial conditions.
• Supervise a team, providing guidance, support, and training as necessary.
• Establish procedures for regular review of credits in the division.
• Engage with customers to resolve issues and verify financial and credit transactions.
• Maintain a positive relationship with customers, bank staff, local professionals, and community organizations.
• Stay updated with changes in loan policy and compliance standards.
• Scrutinize financial information to estimate loan profitability.
• Compare the financial standing of prospective establishments with similar competitors in the same industries and regions.
• Prepare spreads on new loans and renewals and work closely with loan officers and processors.• Demonstrated proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Proven experience in managing Accounting Functions
• Strong knowledge and experience in Credit Underwriting
• Prior experience in Underwriting - Commercial
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to make sound decisions based on analysis, experience, and judgment
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
