A well-known industry leader in agricultural science is seeking a PLANT BIOLOGIST to work at their research facility in Chesterfield, MO. A Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of lab experience is required. The ideal candidate should also have excellent verbal and written communication skills, a team-oriented mindset, and self-motivation to excel in this dynamic role.This will be a 6-month temporary/contingent assignment with the possibility of extending longer. It will involve working a full-time schedule onsite Monday-Friday and requires the flexibility to work occasional early mornings and late evenings.This is a great opportunity in a positive, innovative work environment where all workers are treated with respect and diversity is accepted. Responsibilities

This research Biologist will be involved with agrobacterium transformation to generate plants, maintain greehouses, and ensure proper lab upkeep.

• Conduct agrobacterium transformation to produce plants for research purposes
• Manage greenhouse activities including plant care and maintenance
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the laboratory environment
• Follow established guidelines and protocols for experimental procedures
• Collaborate effectively with team members on various research projects
• Demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in plant biology, plant breeding, microbiology or related field of study
• 1+ years of lab experience
