Blazerjobs is pleased to collaborate with the local school district in Syracuse, NY to fill a full-time School Social Worker position. We are dedicated to providing outstanding professionals to support the social, emotional, and academic well-being of students in our community.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling to students to address social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
• Conduct assessments to identify student needs and develop appropriate intervention plans.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to create a positive and inclusive school environment.
• Support students experiencing crises or trauma, providing crisis intervention and connecting them with community resources.
• Advocate for students and families, helping to address barriers to learning and access to services.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support the development of appropriate interventions and accommodations.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions and services provided.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• New York state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).
• Previous experience working in a school setting or with children and adolescents preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to promoting social justice and advocating for the needs of diverse student populations.
