Position: High School Math Teacher
Location: Elgin, OK
Contract: Full Time, Temporary (Remainder of School Year)
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: End of the current academic year
- Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences and engage students in high school mathematics.
- Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.
- Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, attainment, and behavior of students.
- Provide appropriate feedback on work and assignments to students and parents.
- Identify and select different instructional resources and methods to meet students' varying needs.
- Participate in department, school, and parent meetings.
- municate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and student needs.
- Keep up to date with developments in the subject area, teaching resources, and methods and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities.
- Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Education with a concentration in Mathematics, or related field.
- Valid Oklahoma State teaching certification in Mathematics (or the ability to obtain one before the start date).
- Strong knowledge of the high school mathematics curriculum and teaching methods.
- Previous teaching experience in mathematics is preferred but not required.
- Ability to municate effectively, both orally and in writing.
