Virtual School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Responsibilities:

• Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, IEP goals, and student needs.
• Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students via virtual platforms, utilizing evidence-based practices and therapeutic interventions.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support students' communication goals within the virtual learning environment.
• Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure ongoing growth and achievement.
• Participate in virtual IEP meetings, providing input and recommendations for students' speech and language goals and accommodations.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and communication logs.
• Stay current with best practices, research, and developments in the field of speech-language pathology, integrating new knowledge into clinical practice.
• Adhere to ethical and professional standards set forth by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and state licensure requirements.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
• Valid Mississippi state license or ability to obtain licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment data and student needs.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in all aspects of clinical practice.
