JOB DESCRIPTION
A client in Huntsville, AL is looking for an Aircraft Structural Mechanic/Installer. This person will work on a maintenance team that will be repairing and installing structural and body improvements to CH47's and SH60's. The pay range for this role is between $30/hr to $36/hr, based on experience and labor category.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
- Install units, parts, equipment, and components in structural assembly, as per drawings/specs, using both hand and power tools.
- Replace older aircraft body parts, flight control surfaces, fuel cell and tank cleaning and refurbishment, pylon and windshield replacements
- Adheres to strict dimension tolerances and compliance to FAA maintenance bulletins based on given engineering blueprints
- Cut, trim, bend and smooth sheet metal parts, making sure of proper fit within tolerances and clearance parts · Understand and explain engineering blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layouts, sequences of operations, identities and relationship of parts
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Highschool Diploma or GED
- FAA A&P certificate or appropriate military occupational specialty training
- 3+ years of experience on air frames
- ability to work in hazardous conditions such as near flight lines
- ability to lift 50lbs
